Carla Abellana by Aubrey Carampel Chika Minute, March 4, 2009 from GMA-7 ► ¢2rax... First impression... Talentwise, wait and see her in All About Eve. But definitely, the GMA execs saw something in her... She's pretty. But I don't yet see any unique distinguishing feature making her a compelling standout to produce a 'masa appeal'. Saying "MY GOSH!" is not helping to connect! :P believe me, i know... hehe.. Carla resembles Roxanne Guinoo from the rival network. I'm sure many Kapuso fans are a bit disappointed their "idols" were not selected for this plum role. I saw petitions from Marian-, Heart -, Rhian-fans for this most coveted title-Pinay Rosalinda. Perhaps choosing a newcomer will be fair for everybody! But I'm still baffled about the timing of the announcement. In some ways she will take away the spotlight from the main cast of AAE when it starts airing Monday. As a positive-thinking Kapuso, I always welcome a fresh face and a good education. I wish her all the best! She's still young, and it goes without saying that she has a tough act to follow - the Pinay Marimar. I want to know your first impressions too. Career Abellana starts as a commercial model. After then, She will be visible to public by the remake of Rosalinda (Philippine TV series).
