Got a rich man's dream.
Wanna swap my taxi on a limousine.
Wanna cash it in.
Wanna give it all away.
Got a poor man's needs.
Beans in the bucket and love in the sheets.
And your sandy eyes.
Making it all all right.
Something's calling on me...
And I don't know where I'm going.
I don't know where I'm going.
I got no place to be.
Honey, keep me company.
Woke peacefully in a town somehow in New Jersey.
In my momma's arms, rocking to the radio.
Now I sing myself to sleep in apartment 4 in
building G.
Gotta lock the door.
Gotta hide the key.
Oh, baby, I'm free...
And I don't know where I'm going.
I don't know where I'm going.
I got no place to be.
Honey, keep me company.
Now maybe one day I'll be a famous man with an LA tan,a million fans,
and a catamaran floating movie stars.
Or maybe one day I'll be a bum in the gutter with a bottle in my hands.
And your sandy eyes making it all all right.
Making it all all right.
Making it all all right.

music by Dean Friedman.
Dean Friedman was born 1955, Paramus, New Jersey, USA. This US singer-songwriter found instant success on both sides of the Atlantic with a mixture of sentimental ballads and pleasant tunes about romance. He had a US Top 30 hit with "Ariel" which made ripples in Europe, but his 1978 single "Lucky Stars" (a duet with Denise Marsa) reached the Top 3 position in the UK and made him a household name. A lack of promotion and sporadic record releases led to declining sales (due mainly to problems at the Lifesong label), although "Lydia" gave him his last notable chart hit, reaching the UK Top 40. Although Friedman briefly recorded for the Epic label, releasing Rumpled Romeo in 1981, but the album's single "McDonald's Girl" was officially banned by the BBC for naming the fast food restaurant in its chorus. Throughout the 80s he released occasional singles on minor labels. One track "The Lakelands' was included on a compilation album which sold a quarter of a million units. Friedman reappeared in 1990 writing and performing the soundtrack to a low-budget British horror film, I Bought A Vampire Motorcycle. In the 80s and 90s Friedman became heavily involved in virtual reality software and video game design with his successful company InVideo Systems. He also invented a range of musical instruments for children. His first studio release in over 15 years was 1998"s laboured double-CD, Songs For Grownups. The 2002 follow-up The Treehouse Journals was financed entirely by the artist's fans. Friedman has also self-released a number of children's albums and DVDs.
