- Description : In 1981 Danish TV host Jørgen De My...(more)lius had a New Year pop show from Daddy's in Copenhagen, where this clip is from. The clip is with Debbie Cameron and her song 'So-Le-La'.
Debbie Cameron - a female jazz and pop singer from Florida USA, went to Copenhagen Denmark in 1978 - 20 years old. Her mother Etta Cameron, who originally comes from the British West Indies and later on moved to the USA, first decided to move to Denmark and then a few years later Debbie followed her.
Both Debbie and Etta were big jazz and DISCO stars in Scandinavia, but especially in Germany and Austria.
Both Debbie and Etta still lives in Denmark and they are both active singers - mainly as jazz and gospel singers now.
Enjoy this video clip and this pop song as only Torben Lendager can write it. Torben Lendager was leadsinger in the very first Danish glamrock band Walkers from the 70's and they had huge success in Denmark.
You may also know one of their songs from the 70's called Sha La La La, which was re-recorded by Dutch band Vengaboys in 2000 and was a hit in most of the world back then.
