After reading the last pages of the Official Super Mario Galaxy Thread on NeoGAF & doing many a YouTube search on Ocarina Galaxy vids, it occurred to me that as far as I can tell, NO ONE has posted this! Was it discovered by me? Maybe, but whether it was or not, let me get on with it. Pipes are a staple in the Mario universe, always have been. Where do they lead? Just like you I initially thought that the 2 bonus pipes rooms in the Good Egg Galaxy where just rooms inside the model of the respective planets. That, or just a level within a level, totally independent of each other. It turns out that these bonus rooms are actually PLANETS OF THIER OWN, with that familiar viscous rainbow surrounding their puzzling core. A far as the scope of things is concerned, these planets are really far in the distance (In the vid, you can even seen the flipswitch panels, which are accessed via another pipe, while we are traveling to the sphere. That gives you a good idea of how far it all is!). Now here are the questions we must ask. 1. Does this apply to non-pipe things? 2. Do all bonus pipes lead to these bonus planets? 3. Knowing the scope of the game, could some galaxies be one in the same? This is what I want to find out, and this is where you come in! Think hard, and try to remember where you encountered bonus rooms like these. I need to make a list, and any information would help. Don't feel that you need to, but if you have the time, it would be great if you could help me out. Be sure to state the Galaxy, and the mission you encountered it in. It will take some time, but with a little cooperation, I think we could plot down every one of these if there are any more of them!
