• Jamie Foxx restarts the party with new album

  DETROIT (Billboard) – Jamie Foxx says he wanted his new album, "Intuition," to bang a little harder than his chart-topping, double-platinum 2005 release "Unpredictable."

  "'Unpredictable

  " was more, like, slow, bedroom things, which was great but when I went on the road we had all these ballads, so sometimes I had to work a little harder to keep people's attention," the singer and actor tells Billboard.com.

  "With ('Intuition'), we've got all these legitimate club, international hits and the tempo is up. People hear this record and go absolutely nuts for it."

  Foxx spent the better part of the past two years working on "Intuition," which comes out December 16 via J. He's assembled a Grammy-pedigreed cast of guests and producers, including T.I. (on the first single, "Just Like Me"), Kanye West, the-Dream and Tricky Stewart, Ne-Yo, Fabolous, Timbaland and Floetry's Marsha Ambrosius. "Number One," with Lil Wayne, is currently being "floated" into the clubs, while "Blame It," with T-Pain, is slated to be worked in mid-January.

  "I think people are slowly wanting to work with me more as far as music is concerned," notes Foxx, who studied piano on a scholarship to United States International University. "I do run into a lot of roadblocks. I've been trying to break down those sort of preconceived thoughts that this is just a hobby to me or ... 'He's already got enough.' People want to work with you, but sometimes they don't take it seriously until they hear the records and see the direction I'm going with. I think it'll be even easier to get people to feature with me for the next record."

  Foxx says that could come as early as a year from now as he seeks to "get my content up." He plans to tour for "Intuition" in the spring, after he finishes a 10-week shoot for "Law Abiding Citizen," a drama with Jerry Butler. His next film, "The Soloist" -- the true-life story of homeless cello virtuoso Nathaniel Ayers -- is due in theaters this March.

  "I just see something really high-energy," Foxx says of the shows. "I see myself probably with Ne-Yo, out on the road, a little different demographic than what 'Unpredictable' was. A high-energy, great show -- just hit 'em and quit 'em."

  he starlet's signature leggings, which after debuting in-store and on an L.A. boutique's website exactly one week ago have already sold out.

  "The collection is blowing out, we were so overwhelmed by the reaction," Jaye Hersh, owner of Intuition on Pico Boulevard, told E! News Friday. "We have launched other celebrity collections here, and this one is just flying through the door."

  "We launched Lauren Conrad's collection, we've had Mandy Moore, we've had various different celebrity lines, but this one really seems to be hitting home."

  Lohan and design partner Kristi Kaylor's 6126 collection (an homage to Marilyn Monroe's birthday) features four styles of cilngy legwear, including one with built-in kneepads—cheekily called Mr. President—in case your next '80s night turns especially raucous.

  Noting the ease with which leggings fit right into that California-casual look, Hersh said, "Everybody loves to wear leggings, and everybody wants a piece of Hollywood. Lindsay is Hollywood."

  She also steered us away from Mr. President's JFK connotation, but...who's she trying to fool?

  "I think that these were actually inspired by Lindsay's love of Chanel and Karl Lagerfeld," the shop owner said. "This is more about a theme and a trend for fall, which is all about quilting."

  "I think Lindsay chose Intuition because she's all about empowering women...Intuition is women-run, 6126 is women-run and it's all about sticking together."

  A concept Ms. Lohan is most definitely all about these days.

• Jamie Foxx: Obamas need a pitbull

  NEW YORK – As the quest for the First Dog continues, Academy Award winner Jamie Foxx thinks he's come up with the perfect solution for the President-elect and his family.

  "A pitbull," the entertainer said.

  "

  (I'm) trying to pick out Barack Obama's Christmas puppy right now, so we're working hard on that," he joked. "I think I'm going to get him a pitbull, we just got to keep it street."

  Foxx made the comments after performing at the annual Rockefeller Center Christmas tree lighting in New York last week.

  "I'm just celebrating Barack Obama (and) celebrating the new president," he said.

  Obama's presidential win isn't the only thing the Grammy-nominated singer is celebrating. Foxx is also gearing up for the release of his third CD, "Intuition," in stores December 16. He calls it his "best work ever."

  "I got the best of Timbaland, the best of Kanye (West), The-Dream, the best of Lil Wayne (and) the best of T.I.," he said as he rattled off some of the album's top collaborators.

  "Intuition" is Foxx's follow-up to 2005's "Unpredictable," a platinum CD that hit No. 1 on the Billboard charts. Foxx says that he's asking Santa for the same gift this year.

  "For Christmas, I definitely want another No. 1 album," he said.

• Taylor Stuffs More Stockings than Keyshia, Jamie or Fall Out Boy

  Los Angeles (E! Online) – In a blow to many a boy's imagination, Taylor Swift made Santa's nice list.

  The country starlet, who first topped the charts over Thanksgiving, now rules the Christmas roost, holdi

  ng off naughty-lister Britney Spears and would-be new holiday treats from Keyshia Cole, Jamie Foxx and Fall Out Boy.

  Swift's Fearless held at No. 1 on sales of 330,000, per Nielsen SoundScan. Grammy-nominated R&B star Cole was just 8,000 behind with A Different Me, while Foxx's Intuition at No. 3 (265,000), ahead of Spears' Circus (196,000).

  New daddy Pete Wentz and his fellow Fall Out Boys scored the third and final Top 10 bow as Folie à Deux checked in at No. 8 with 150,000. The band topped the charts last year with Infinity on High.

  In other chart action...

  Anthony Hamilton's The Point of It All opened at No. 12 (133,000), Plies' Da Realist entered at No. 14 (114,000), the All-American Rejects' When the World Comes Down checked in at No. 15 (112,000), and Soulja Boy's iSouljaboyTellem landed at No. 43 (46,000).

  Across the pond, a bit of competition made for a historic finish on the U.K. chart. Alexandra Burke, winner of the 2008 X Factor (the American Idol equivalent that produced Leona Lewis), topped the singles chart with a Christmas cover of Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah." There was a much-publicized online campaign to push Jeff Buckley's 1994 version over Burke's and although it fell short at No. 2, the 1-2 finish marked the first time in nearly 52 years that the same song held the top slot on the British chart. Cohen's original even got in on the action, coming in at No. 36.

  Back in Yankee land, overall sales were up by about 30 percent over the previous week but down that same amount compared to last year.

• Paris Suspects Burglar Was No Stranger to Her Home, Asks for Jewelry's Safe Return

  Los Angeles (E! Online) – Having viewed her home surveillance tapes, Paris Hilton doesn't think a stranger is responsible for burglarizing her Sherman Oaks, Calif., abode.

  "I think whoever did this, definit

  ely has been there before," the ripped-off heiress told E! News Monday while perusing the racks at the L.A. boutique Intuition. "We have some suspects that I'm thinking of."

  Nearly $2 million worth of jewelry and personal items were stolen from Hilton's recently purchased mansion early Friday morning, while the newly single socialite hung out at Hollywood hotspot Bar Deluxe.

  Police said that a man in a hooded sweatshirt and gloves forced his way through the front door and ultimately focused on Hilton's bedroom for his ill-gotten gains.

  The items taken included "jewelry, watches, every ring I own," Hilton said. "All my necklaces, jewelry that my grandmothers gave me that I'll never be able to replace.

  "You know, it's just an invasion of privacy and it's happened to me before. It's really scary but they're doing a huge investigation on this and we're going to catch this person."

  The reality-TV star said that, initially, she was afraid to be in the house after the break-in, but she has since "upped the security majorly."

  "Obviously it's devastating and disturbing that someone was in my home," Hilton said. But "we have three security guards there and a 24-hour guard who is always on my property," Hilton said. "We have the alarm on, the dogs we have, the guards with the gun, so, no one is going to be coming into my house."

  Hilton also has a message for the person or persons responsible for shattering her sense of security:

  "I would tell them to please return my things, because I know that they're probably watching E! News right now, to return everything and that's it," she told us.

  "They just have to anonymously have a taxi drop it off in my front gate in a box with my jewelry and everything they won't get in trouble, but if all this goes on for much longer they're going to get in more trouble."
