1. About the Ganges Service

a. What is Ganges?
Ganges is “a space in which you can share open-minded thoughts” through internet browser for internet users from all over the world and you.

• The place in which joyfulness gets together. The world of internet should be joyful. Ganges will make a site filled with joyfulness and take the head to make the world of internet joyful.
• The place in which gladness gets together. Ganges is the UCC site in which delightful meetings are always waiting.
• The place in which freshness gets together. Ganges would pursue continuous changes to make the world of leading thoughts and warm hearts.

b. How is Ganges different from other sharing services?
Ganges will evolve as “the user centered site” which puts users in the center. We have an open mind which similar characteristic sites should share information together in order for users not to obtain only biased information. We never want you to stay long to get much information only in Ganges. You may watch for our intention through CI called Ganges.

The color of yellow contains courage and challenge, the mind of our management team. The color of white means share and harmony, that means any trivial things around you can be information and knowledge. The color of green shows equality and division.

All of these can be done due to your participation. The precious materials, which you register will be shown to other users and be estimated by you.

2. Support

a. How do I get in touch with the Ganges Team ?
Click the Contact or Feedback link to submit your questions and comments through a web based form. Or, simply send an e-mail to support@ganges.com.

b. I’ve signed up but did not receive a confirmation e-mail, now what?
Please make sure to check all of your spam/junk mail folders. Popular webmail applications such as Hotmail have been known to mark messages from Ganges as spam. If you are still unable to locate the confirmation e-mail send a note to support@ganges.com and we will be happy to activate your account for you.

c. How do I change my password/login?
Just click on the Options tab and then select either Change Password or Change User Login to update your account information.

d. What if forgotten my password?
Go to the Ganges homepage and click Forgot your password? Enter the e-mail address you signed up with and click Request My Password. Your password will arrive in your e-mail straight away

NOTE : If your e-mail address has changed since you originally created your Ganges account and you can no longer access the old service you will need to get in touch with the support team at support@ganges.com

3. How ganges works

Ganges wants to be used positively as mean of free digital medium. For this, every user of Ganges should find , select, share, discuss and participate eagerly with useful information.

a. What is Discover ?
Discover media online - Submit to Ganges after you find video and podcast, then it will be registered on the board of “Recent Videos” immediately. After that, if the postings, which you put up are found by others and decided as useful information, they will press “VOTE” and give points to your postings. This point will be a measuring stick of “Top Contributers” in Ganges.Later, we are supposed to give some gifts to high graded Contributers.

b. Hot videos
The first registered posting will be registered on “Recent Videos” automatically. And then, it will be registered on “Hot Videos” according to points of “vote” frequency of users. Minimum points must be more than 10 votes to be registered on “Hot Videos”. If you can’t get enough points in few days after resister of postings, they will be removed on “Recent Videos” automatically.

c. Recent Videos
If you want to look at recently registered Video or Podcast, press “Recent Videos” tab and you can look at them. This place is where first registered material of users stay and by order of registration they are shown to users. Of course, after you connect to Ganges, you can not only look at new “Hot Videos” but also subscribe to special popular topics by using “RSS” without connecting Ganges site.

4. Select

This is the way to certify that you are given one right of Ganges.
You have to work for selecting useful information.
We aren’t involved in this deeply
You read information and just press “vote” if that was useful.
If it wasn’t, just ignore.
But if that was harmful for others, press “Report” right away. This is how we handle spam.

5. Share

If you find useful information in Ganges, send an e-mail to your friends. At this time your friends can get useful information and we can get new users.

a. What is Ganges E-card?
It is just like web e-mail, but it lets you share videos and photos (even large ones) with as many people as you’d like – without overloading their mailboxes with huge attachments. Our unique technology ensures all your recipients will be able to see what you want them to see, painlessly. Ganges E-card also allows you to select from an array of looks and layouts to customize your message for each individual occasion.

b. Can I customize the Look, Layout and Flash effect of my photos?
Yes! Each channel, like a scrapbook or a movie theater, deserves its own personality. If you’d like, you can dress up the channel for your wedding and dress down the channel for your bowling league (or the other way around, if you’d prefer).
To select different looks and layouts, select Look and Layout under the Look menu in my Ganges.
Your Account Homepage, where all your public channels are viewed, can also have a customized look. To select your theme click Change How Your Account Homepage Looks under the Options tab.

c. What are Comments?
Comments are short or long messages left by people who have viewed your photos and videos on your Shared Account Homepage, or in a Ganges E-card. You can turn commenting ON/OFF for each channel (videos and photos).
Ganges will send an e-mail notification when an item receives a new comment. NOTE: Users must login to leave a comment on Ganges.

• - To turn Comments ON/OFF :
• Select the channel
• Click the Description link
• Scroll down and check/uncheck the Allow Viewers to Leave Comments box
• Click Save to enable this setting

• - To delete a comment someone on your channe :
• Login to your account
• Select the Channel
• Click on the specific item
• Scroll down to the Comments section and delete the text
• Click Save to permanently remove the comment

6. Discuss

We want to share your opinions by using “Comment” corner of each posting to images and podcasts. These active workings can be a tonic in operating of Ganges.

a. We want to help those who need pictures.
Most people want to rise up on their own blog or get estimated by many other people at the moment they take a picture with their camera or camera phone.
Or many people want to show up their happy family or their children’s pictures to the world.
Ganges wants to help all of these possible.
To do these, we will provide picture share service by the systematical method.
You can register on the web as many pictures as you want using your home computer through the picture stock device like camera.
After that, the users who are using Ganges can put on dynamical pictures on their personal homepages or outside blog or can send nice mail by using “Customizing Photos” or “E-CARD” service and then, they can be shown to other people.

b. We provide the function to compile the pictures newly
With a few simple clicks, your fixed pictures will be changed to dynamic pictures.
After we add many effects to an amount of pictures by making film format, they can be played as scenes that look like a movie.
The results will be absolutely amazing.
To use this, you have to learn a little using method.

7. The future and direction of Ganges

Lastly, we are going to evolve continuously in a lot of ways to allow the users to make videos and pictures more and more easily and help them make those prettier.
Through videos and pictures, we hope other users and you can help each other, and through each other’s community you can get in touch with many people on the “internet sea”.
