AFA-CWA Supports American Airlines Flight Attendants' Effort to Improve Working Conditions

WASHINGTON, Oct. 10 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Association of Flight Attendants-CWA (AFA-CWA) issued a statement today in support of as they picketed four major airports across the country. AFA-CWA represents flight attendants at , a regional carrier for .

"On behalf of the attendants at AFA-CWA, we stand in support of our sisters and brothers at American Airlines in their quest to improve working conditions and restore their wages which were decimated in order for airline management to avoid bankruptcy," said Veronica Tenerelli, AFA-CWA America Eagle President.

"American Eagle Flight Attendants share their plight to improve working conditions as flight reductions have led to grueling schedules for our fight attendants as well. We know firsthand that cuts and reductions come off the backs of all front line employees of AMR.

"Management continues to reward themselves with millions of dollars in bonuses. Flight attendants in this country are working more for less, and it is time to restore some of what has been lost over the years.
