• Amanda Bynes joins ABC pilot

  LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) – Amanda Bynes is returning to series television as one of the stars of ABC's comedy

  pilot "Canned," about a group of friends, including who are fired in a corporate shake-up.

  Bynes' character is a naive Midwestern girl who often spent nights at the office to get her work done. The actress shot to fame as a tween star on Nickelodeon. She moved into broadcast TV with her WB comedy series "What I Like About You."

  Her feature credits include "Hairspray" and "She's the Man." She most recently co-starred opposite Harry Connick Jr. in the Lifetime movie "Living Proof."

• Paris & Doug Rub Hookup in Ex's Face

  Los Angeles (E! Online) – Back from their trip to Tokyo, Paris Hilton and Doug Reinhardt continue to step out as a couple

  in Hollywood.

  Saturday night they hit Teddy's, the club where Doug's ex Amanda Bynes was also in attendance.

  "Doug and Paris were hanging together all night at a VIP table in the back corner with a big group of friends," a source tells E! News. "Amanda was nearby at another table with girlfriends."

  So was there major drama between the Hills man-whore and his former flame?

  Although Paris and Doug were described as "very flirty" and dancing together, Amanda apparently took the high road and chose to ignore the PDA partners.

  "She was definitely within eyeshot of Paris and Doug, but avoided looking at them," says our source. "She was trying to keep herself occupied by dancing and hanging with her girls, and made it appear as if she didn't care about Paris and Doug's escapades nearby."

  Another couple at the club that night? Gossip Girl costars Ed Westwick and Jessica Szhor. There was no PDA, but they stayed by each other's side for the night.

  Sources confirm to E! News exclusively that the heiress and Amanda Bynes' ex are in the midst of flying to Tokyo together for a romantic getaway. 

  The coy couple, who, we're told, have been hooking up secretly for late-night trysts at Paris' place for several weeks now, left Los Angeles International Airport late Tuesday morning on a United Airlines flight bound for the Land of the Rising Sun.  

  A source tells E! News that Paris has several business-related appearances scheduled in Japan later this week, and she invited Doug to join her for some fun.

  "She had an extra seat in first class," says the source. "Instead of taking her assistant, she took Doug."
